It’s getting to be that time of year again. Business is winding down for the holidays (unless you’re in retail) and it’s time to sit back prepare for the coming year. Time to take an honest look back at ourselves and our business successes and failures from 2009. It’s also time to put together a plan to overcome those shortcomings in 2010, and prepare for a great 2010.

New Year’s resolutions vary greatly from person to person. Some people might want to make more money in 2010, others would be happy to work less and spend more time with friends and family. Maybe 2010 is the year where you will leave corporate America and establish your own business. Or maybe you’ll launch a new line of business or a develop a product you’ve been considering for a while.

Why are you in your MLM? Whether you do it full-time or part-time, you’re probably first and foremost looking to make money. But even in this recession, there are plenty of ways to make money, espescially online, so why MLM? And why choose the MLM company that you chose?

Let me start off by saying I hope it’s for more than just the money. As financially attractive as MLM opportunities can be, if you’re only in it for the money then that’s all you stand to gain from it. Although that may not sound so bad at first, let me explain. As a small business owner, you’re satisfaction will come from the fulfillment of your goals, which will be driven by your motivations. If your goals and motivations are limited to financial gain, than as long as you’re making money, you’ll be happy.
